If ego was a currency, today I’d be a millionaire. Why?
Because over at AdCritic, our SONY brand ad has been highlighted as ‘Ad of the Day’. [though if you are reading this on the 28/11 – it’ll be ‘Ad of Yesterday’, ha!]
Now if you haven’t got a password to the at site but feel a compulsion to check it out … you can watch if for free by clicking here. [Yes, I am so generous!]
On top of that, if you are sad and want to know more about the ads background, you can click here and read all about it.

Congratulations. I’ve seen the ad on television and really liked it. I’ve also read your comments and think its really great you call it a starting point and accept that much more is needed than just advertising. Looking forward to seeing how you build on this great start. All the best.
Comment by Raymond Hill November 28, 2006 @ 12:22 pmCongrats, mate! I love it.
Comment by Mark November 28, 2006 @ 12:34 pmRemember what I said Rob a couple of days ago: Geldof Anger = Good, Oprah Ego = Bad
Comment by Billy Whizz November 28, 2006 @ 2:01 pmThe decision is yours, the ramifications is ours. Choose wisely.
No wonder you’re an only child – you could start an argument in an empty house! Thank God Andy is back soon to ‘control’ you. Now go and annoy someone else. Please.
Comment by Rob November 28, 2006 @ 3:09 pmI like Billy a lot without ever having met him.
Comment by fredrik sarnblad November 28, 2006 @ 4:57 pmDoes that mean I can post about it on my blog now?!
Well done, its a great start for the new era of Sony ads.
Comment by Rob Mortimer November 28, 2006 @ 5:38 pmSent you an email Rob
Comment by Rob November 28, 2006 @ 8:32 pmFredrik, is this a test? Was your compliment because you wanted to discover whether a sycophantic comment could turn me into Oprah; like it has RD and potentially RC?
Comment by Billy Whizz November 28, 2006 @ 8:48 pmI will not succumb. I will not succumb. I will not succumb. I will not succumb. I will not succumb. I will not succumb. I will not succumb.
By the way, what sort of name is Fredrik anyway? Learn to spell.
Billy.
Meet Mr Dole Cue.
I am sure you’ll be very happy together, ha!
Comment by Rob November 28, 2006 @ 8:49 pmBilly, I’m glad you took my comment as a compliment (it shows you must have made some assumptions about me that aren’t entirely negative) even if you didn’t succumb to take the bait. I’ll change the spelling of my name for you. Let me know your preference. But wouldn’t my doing that brand you as Oprah-like in terms of influential power? Surely, death would be preferable.
Comment by fredrik sarnblad November 29, 2006 @ 12:45 amYou must be a planner with all that intellectual stuff about influence. Damn you.
Comment by Billy Whizz November 29, 2006 @ 8:46 amWell played Rob, it’s a gem.
Comment by Northern Planner December 4, 2006 @ 4:41 pmThanks Mr Northern Planner – I don’t think it’s a gem, but it’s a better start than I could of hoped for, ha!
Hope to meet you when I’m back oop North!
