I know that it can be hard to speak up – especially when your opinion is different to either your boss or the group – but it’s important to remember that discussion is healthy and anyone who thinks otherwise, is mad.
Of course, you can also end up in situations where there is too much discussion and not enough decision – but that’s a post for another day – so if you’re one of those people who find it hard to speak up, some of these old posts might be of use.

There’s another post I wrote ages ago that really goes into this subject, but for the life of me I can’t find it. That’ll teach me for not categorising my posts … but then I never expected that I’d want to read any of my rambling rants again, let alone anyone else.

I’m guessing you couldn’t be bothered to write anything new today.
Comment by DH February 1, 2013 @ 6:39 amThanks for implying I do on other days. Means a lot.
Comment by Rob February 1, 2013 @ 7:59 amWhat do you mean “categorise”? You only do 4 types of post.
1 Planning rubbish
2 Mental theory rubbish
3 Sentimental rubbish
4 Family sweetness
Not that hard to find anything when you think of it that way.
Comment by DH February 1, 2013 @ 6:41 amYou make a good point Dave.
Comment by Bazza February 1, 2013 @ 7:02 amSadly he does. I might actually create those 4 categories in your honour Dave. What an accolade that would be eh!?
Comment by Rob February 1, 2013 @ 8:00 amYeah, I’d hang a banner on my wall.
Comment by DH February 1, 2013 @ 8:26 amThis post is like an Oprah show. Just worse.
Comment by Billy Whizz February 1, 2013 @ 6:56 amThat sounds like you’re saying you spend your days watching Oprah reruns.
Comment by Bazza February 1, 2013 @ 7:02 amAt least I don’t take old shit, put it in a new box and say its the latest and greatest.
Comment by Billy Whizz February 1, 2013 @ 7:23 am@billy.. You just owned bazza, planners, hipsters in one sentence.. scary and impressive, unless bazza is a hipster, then.. mehh
Comment by niko February 1, 2013 @ 7:33 amThat’s like getting praise from Andy, just not quite as good.
Comment by Billy Whizz February 1, 2013 @ 7:39 amWell done Billy. Sorry Bazza.
Comment by Rob February 1, 2013 @ 8:01 amI disagree. But you all knew that already.
Comment by John February 1, 2013 @ 7:20 amDisagree with this post or me in general?
Probably both.
Comment by Rob February 1, 2013 @ 8:01 amIn general.
Comment by John February 1, 2013 @ 11:06 pmIt’s a clip show post. But that’s okay as the point was spot on, plus we all know the world needs more George Parker’s.
Comment by Rob Mortimer February 1, 2013 @ 10:14 amThe Campbell compilation album, which only serves to show you should write more of the good stuff.
Comment by northern February 1, 2013 @ 5:55 pmBy the way, if you’ve nothing to say, it’s really OK to not post for a day. Just leave it blank, most people come for comments – or creche for fellow misfits
Comment by northern February 1, 2013 @ 5:57 pmI know it is and I know they do, but I’m a creature of habit, why else have I not had alcohol for 27 years and worn Birkenstocks for 20?
Comment by Rob February 1, 2013 @ 6:58 pmSelf confidence and comfort in your own skin I would hope
