The Musings Of An Opinionated Sod [Help Me Grow!]

Winning All The Time …

Sometimes we face challenges we never saw coming.

Challenges we’ve never had exposure to or were taught how to handle.

Challenges that don’t directly affect us but affect us all the same.

Sometimes those challenges seem daunting … impossible even.

But the wonderful thing about us is our ability to adapt and conquer.

All the time in an endless amount of ways.

This means we can beat the little things and the big.

From the irritating and inconsequential to those rare situations that have major implications on how our – and our loved ones – life will turn out.

And while these victories rarely result in medals or ceremonies, the important thing is that more often than not, we win and at the end of the day, that is all that counts.

There’s a particular person this post is aimed at and to them I simply say, take care and I look forward to your abuse when you return victorious … and there’s absolutely no doubt you will, after all, she has the genes of a champion.

Is this for Andy? I don’t know what’s going on.

This is a beautifully written post Robert, which I agree with entirely, but I too share Billy’s concern. Whoever you are referring to, please wish them a speedy and positive outcome to the situation they face.

The person Robert refers to in this post is Andrew, but it actually relates to someone very close to Andrew. It is health related and they’re dealing with it.

Thank you George.

Nice words Rob.

Thanks George for clarifying the situation.

This post was supposed to be more about greatness and how it is made from skin, bone & attitude … however in writing it, I probably made it a bit too obvious about what/who was the inspiration was behind it. That said, I’m sure after a few days of no swearing, people would have figured it out themselves.

As George mentioned, the person that inspired this post is someone very close to Andy and while things will all work out, it’s stressful for him & his family so I’m sure everyone wishes them their very best for a speedy recovery.

Right, no more … he told me he didn’t want me to write any “sentimental planning claptrap” and I think I’ve already broken that promise.

“Greatness is skin, bones and attitude”. I like that.

I like this post. Thinking of AB & co.

One day soon we’ll be having beers and celebrating. That day can’t come quick enough. Thinking of you all.
