… not having your wedding reception here …

Are Starbucks insane???

OK, so they wouldn’t be as insane as someone who thought their marriage was going to be a success after offering their wedding guests a Venti latte and a mandarin muffin, but Jesus, it’s pretty bloody bad!

Look I know the faux coffee makers have had a tough time of late and exploring new avenues for profit is important… but the fact they are ignoring many of their inherent issues and are instead focusing on trying to tap into the bloody wedding reception market shows a brand still on the cusp of total desperation.

To be fair, with a bit of re-jigging, it might have a bit of potential – especially if they offered ‘all-in-one’ wedding packages in countries/regions where there is an abundance of teen pregnancies and shotgun marriages [read: Nottingham] – but to be honest, even if a 13 year old kid got his 14 year old girlfriend of 3 weeks up the duff, I reckon they’d turn their noses up at getting hitched in a bloody Starbucks.

McDonald’s maybe … but Starbucks?

this from a man who got hitched in a fucking restaurant. ok it wasnt starfucks or maccas, but it was still a fucking restaurant.

i fucking like the idea. think how much money i would have saved if id had my receptions for mistake #1 and #2 there instead of the overfuckingpriced 5 stars i was blackmailed into?

if life with mary fucks up and i want to smash my head into a fucking wall again then im heading straight to starbucks to keep the parasitic hangers on amused.

starbucks weddings. for people who think theyre making a mistake but are still going through with it.

If anyone beats Andy’s comment for today then they will have done very well. Gold, especially the evil proposition. LOL.

Why did Starbucks feel it neccessary to label “wedding reception” on their advertisement featuring a name card with the words “wedding reception” placed up on it.

This obsession companies have with naming everything horrifies me.

Comment by Lee Hill

You know why Lee, because too many companies evaluate their ads by the number of times their name/offer is expressed within a single piece of communication versus the its ability to engage, interest and motivate the intended recipient.

Says more about the company and the attitude/ability of their employees than any amount of PR hype could ever achieve.

No way as far as I’m concerned, their tea is awful. And their coffee come to think about it.

So Andy, you are placing Starbucks as Pre-Nup Marriage HQ?

Interesting…
