Nah – in all seriousness, I’d love to hear from some Asian creatives regarding this issue.

I don’t read Scamps blog as much as i probably should, but what is it with all the anonymous comments there? are people so afraid of either being beaten up by him, or so afraid of losing their jobs or something else that they have to hide behind an anonymous time stamp? so this blog may be a little wacky (and colourful), but for the most part, people are brave enough to be who they are and say what they mean, which i think is fucking vital when it comes down to having a discussion. conversations happen here, rather than just opinionated sledging matches (andy vs rob matches aside).

First of all I need to say ‘hello’ to John Johnston Jr. III.

Now forgive me for saying that – but I am not sure if you are a wind up [so to speak]

Lets look at the facts [not in any order] …

1/ You have an interesting name
2/ The only “vibe” here, is the vibe of death
3/ Why would ANY daughter ask her Dad to visit

However … and this is the confusing bit … a UK based student called Rachel DOES communicate with us as regards marketing and advertising, so who the hell knows, it could be true.

If it is – then ‘welcome’ – and if it’s any consolation my 75 year old mother also finds my language ‘colourful’ … infact she finds it shocking because for my whole 38 years, I’ve never said a rude word infront of her.

Anyway have a read – it’s all rubbish – but if it means I’m “getting down with the kids”, then I won’t complain.

PS: The guy called ‘Dodds’ isn’t really a predator perv – you can feel safe 🙂

Secondly, to answer Lauren’s comment.

I am in total agreement with what you’re saying.

I hate how people hide behind a cloak of silence when slagging people off … especially because they tend to be extremely violent in their comments when a more constructive explanation could be said without the fear of much ramification, even with their name associated with it.

I absolutely encourage people to say what they think on here and whilst I might take a counterpoint of view, I can’t see the point of having a blog if you only want to hear positive affirmations.

Jesus it’s blog world, not China.

Besides, no one has the monopoly of knowledge [except Andy of course] and the stuff I’ve learnt or thought about because of people’s comments [even highly critical ones] has been worth the pain of writing this thing every day, ha!

Only thing I am aware of is that to an outsider this blog can seem cliquey and I’d hate people not to write or argue for fear of being attacked.

If you talk shit, I’ll fight – but if we all handle this well then we can do good stuff … though as much as I like Scamp, he can go all ‘advertising lovey’ which probably encourages the evil that walk amongst us to react.

I’m not advocating it [well, not when you do it in secret] but we all can do with being pulled down a peg or 20 🙂

I think you’re right Niko, I’ve gone all ‘soft and lovely’ [wait till you see the post that appears tomorrow and next week] because I’ve just written a “hope we haven’t upset you, come back” email to Mr John Johnston Jr. III.
