… a shopping centre that is near empty.
For those of you outside of this country, you need to appreciate that interms of social pursuits, the majority of the country has 3 key pastimes …
1 Eating
2 Shopping
3 Complaining
Don’t get me wrong, I love this country and have the upmost respect for what Lee Kuan Yew has done/achieved [as I’ve detailed many times throughout this blog] however outside of these 3 activities, the choice for the average person is somewhat limited – which is why an empty shopping centre is worthy of me writing a blog post.
Mental!

A shopping centre that’s nearly empty except for Rob Campbell busy buying up all the technology he can lay his hands on. Is going into a shopping frenzy one of the conditions of becoming a Singaporean permanent resident? If so, I think it’s a match made in heaven 🙂

1. shopping,
2. driving,
3. building

Comment by lauren November 22, 2007 @ 12:11 pmIf the shopping mall is empty, and nobody sees you, are you actually shopping?
You’re almost right Lauren, you missed out the 4th favourite national pastime that is “BUILDING FUCKING POINTLESS BOLLOCKS BECAUSE THEY CAN”
Venice in the desert? I rest my case.
Now where is Jade when we want her????
