The last time there was a blog ‘tagging’ thing, I embarrassed myself with this.
So when Ms Swear-a-lot … the very lovely Lauren … ‘tagged me’ for being a blog that makes her ‘think‘ [but think ‘what’, is the question I want to know, ha!] I decided I wasn’t going to be so bloody stupid again, and just follow the rules as laid out here.
I know this ‘tagging’ thing is fast becoming like those email chain letters you used to get when the internet was still a likkle baby, but as long as it doesn’t cost you any money and you’re not cursed to for not keeping it up – what’s the harm eh?
Now given she has already nominated a bunch of people I’d like to nominate … and I feel a bit crap to bother the poor sods I nominated last time [but I beg you to go and check them out ’cause they’re brill – that’s Fred, Hari, Mohamed, Sarah* and Age] … and everyone knows the ‘classics’ like Russell, Scamp and Mr Anti-Brainstorm [ha] … and I refuse to publicise companies/individuals who are paid to actually ‘think clever’ for a living [even though I am a cheap groupie on their sites] … and I am only allowed to name 5 [even though in reality, my ‘fave thinking blogs’ would number in the high 80’s] … I am going to celebrate the following people for being found in possession of a brain that makes me go hmmmmmmmmmmm [but not always in a good way, ha!]
Mr Marcus [especially when he writes from the heart, not the mad gene in his head!]
and last – but certainly not least – Ms Brenda
[Yes I know that is 7 but can we pretend I am dyslexic for now!]
So consider yourselves well and truly ‘tagged’ and thank you for being so generous with interesting, thought-provoking, stimulating views on life/love and advertising. [Plus the odd moment of total rubbish!]
* Especially as she has just started a brilliant new company and deserves wide exposure – which she has already, but maybe I can help add to a little bit!

Thank you Rob – it’s very flattering. I participated in tagging last December, but I probably should do a blog shout out at some point..
Later though.. got to go and hobnob with NP and the gang at PSFK.
Btw, still waiting to hear about my *ahem*. I’ve made an offer (after receiving wildly differing fees), and we shall see.
Comment by Will June 1, 2007 @ 1:58 pmHi Will … first of all have fun at PSFK and please say hi to NP for me. I can’t wait to read all about it – and I hope there’s some debate … adland is far to nicey, nicey at the moment, ha!
Secondly, I am really, really happy about your news and am sure you’ll be able to come to some ‘mutually beneficial’ arrangement. Can’t wait to hear how you go and what you do … so keep the faith, there’s sunshine in the distance!

Comment by Rob Mortimer June 1, 2007 @ 2:58 pmOi Mr M … it’s not about me being kind, it’s about me being engaged and interested by what you say. Regardless how nice a guy you are, if you talked shit, I wouldn’t put you forward.
Glad I’ve settled that once and for all, ha!

Comment by Rob Mortimer June 1, 2007 @ 4:51 pmgood morning boys. i can see that comparing sexual prowess and cock sizes will never go out of fashion.
rob, based on this banter, i’m concerned about giving you the award now, as it’s making me think ‘what the fuck am i doing here?’. marcus, i did feel awful about not being able to tag you as i thoroughly enjoy both the mad and sensitive blogger in you. however, now i’m not quite so sure.
more seriously, rob – i’m glad you nominated all those peeps becuase i didn’t get to and they’re all worthy of a thinking blog award. yay.

Comment by Rob Mortimer June 1, 2007 @ 6:59 pmmorning. short question: is anybody interested in owning a ticket for Russel’s interesting2007? I can’t go to London. No money and you get nice wrapping paper (digital).
Comment by Seb June 1, 2007 @ 7:25 pmAlready going…hurrah!
Comment by Rob Mortimer June 1, 2007 @ 7:31 pmRob. I’ve had mail.
Comment by Marcus June 1, 2007 @ 8:01 pmI know a whole host of comments are missing – this is deliberate and not because I have suddenly developed a sensitive streak [I think we both know I’m not exactly scared of swearing or knob jokes]
Anyway sorry about that but you won’t of missed anything and I hope I can explain the reason why in the coming weeks.
[And no, it has nothing to do with me!]
Comment by Robert June 1, 2007 @ 10:47 pmI think I can guess.
And I think I may have just guessed who your big pitch was?
(or I might/probably be totally wrong!)
Comment by Rob Mortimer June 1, 2007 @ 10:56 pmcensorship to please a client???!!! soft i tell you, soft. ha!!
have a good weekend, rob.
nice to have you back, andy.
why aren’t you coming to london, seb?
*i’m in a dumb netcafe and am typing in courier – i don’t like it so i’m leaving it at this. see you in a few days.
Comment by lauren June 2, 2007 @ 2:11 amlack of money, Lauren. the flight to London is a thing that doesn’t really match to the numbers on my account statement right now. damn. but I will definitely be in London in July. are you still there then?
Comment by Seb June 2, 2007 @ 4:26 amyup – and i’ll be in münchen in september – we’ll catch up at some stage for sure..
Comment by lauren June 2, 2007 @ 6:37 amNo, the comment removal is NOT to please a client (they all know what I’m like, haha!) but to hopefully help someone else with something else. Oh and Mr M … tell me more, would love to here Columbo Mortimer!!!
Comment by Rob June 2, 2007 @ 8:36 ammorning.
Comment by Marcus Brown June 2, 2007 @ 3:51 pmI’ll ignore the fact you left me out and quietly simmer on holiday
Comment by NP June 2, 2007 @ 4:58 pmDon’t be sad/angry/pissed NP …
The only reason I left you out us because Lauren already ‘tagged’ you. As I said on my post, she tagged people I wanted to celebrate of which YOU are one.
Dear … for a planner you as touchy as a creative, ha!
Comment by Rob June 2, 2007 @ 6:17 pmAre you taking me seriously? You’re not are you?
Comment by NP June 2, 2007 @ 6:52 pmAbit … I know that is stupid, but without this sounding like a complete ponce, I really like and respect you and would hate you to ever feel otherwise.
Hope your PSFK [or whatever the letter are] thingy went well and like I said to Fred on your blog – STOP USING THE INTERNET AND ENJOY YOUR BLOODY HOLIDAY!
Comment by Rob June 2, 2007 @ 7:12 pmHah, well if it wasnt for a client or prospective client then it wont be them. It wasonly the fact that all the posts you deleted referred to a certain trademarked product.
Comment by Rob Mortimer June 2, 2007 @ 11:22 pmDid it?
God my memory is going, who did we refer too?
[PS: Unless you are counting Marcus and his NanoKnob thing … with implies a linkage to Apple but they are already cynic clients.
As regards who the big secret pitch is/was for – I have some news about that next week, ha!
Comment by Rob June 3, 2007 @ 12:34 pmmorning
Comment by Marcus Brown June 3, 2007 @ 5:04 pmExcellent!
