The New Swedish Flag?
IKEA
Volvo
Roxette
Bjorn Borg
… sure they’re all successful and well known but they’re not exactly what you’d call exciting are they?
Jesus, I bet Bjorn Borg drives a Volvo to his local IKEA while listening to Roxette every bloody Sunday.
Luckily for Sweden, there’s a company who does the sort of things that could put “interesting” back into the nation’s personality – so why don’t you click here and read about ACNE – a creative co-operative that does all things creative – from ads to clothes to toys to books to anything.
Shit name, great concept.
[Thanks to Scott for this]

How sad am I writing a comment on my own post just because I don’t like the thought that I write something that no one can even be bothered to abuse, let alone click on.
Comment by Rob May 2, 2008 @ 7:17 pmWell… Acne has sort of been around since the mid90s. Very neoSweeeedish but yes quite good at all things creative. Falls within the same simplistic category as all Swedish branding nowadays.
Comment by ADF May 6, 2008 @ 3:13 amBeing frank practically everything out of Scandinavia is top quality these days. The Finns are banging out some of the best electronica on top of their global phone business.
Good ‘art collections’ too I hear 😉
