I realised that my post yesterday sounded abit defeatist – and to be honest, maybe that was a fair representation of how I was feeling when I wrote it – however being British [well, half British] means I’m inherently made of sterner stuff, so I’ll be fucked if I’m going to stop fighting for what is right because what we’ve done is bang-on and everyone knows it … the client’s just letting outside issues and influence [plus a good dollop of corporate toadies] cloud their reasoning and judgment.
We go back into battle on Monday at 2pm …
PS: If I/we do end up losing the battle [as well as the war] then I’ll put the stealomatic up for you all to see – then maybe you can tell me whether we had our heads in the clouds or were victims of corporate egos.

Hmmmmmn, we’ve just heard some gossip about a ‘development’ in the politics behind this campaign and unfortunately it’s not looking good.
Put it like this, indications are that even if we had every one their shareholders, every one of their customers, every one of their past CEO’s, Steven Spielberg, Bill Clinton, Dan Weiden, Steve Jobs and Warren Buffet all passionately singing the praises of this campaign, it still wouldn’t make a difference to the outcome of their pre-determined decision.
It’s not looking good but hey, I’ve been wrong so many times in the past, who the hell really knows what is going to happen?
Well, actually I do – well, I will as of Monday afternoon, ha!

Comment by John October 11, 2007 @ 3:25 pmIf this goes with their pre determined sissy mind numbing decision, can you hide some burgers in their office and send Andy in with a baseball bat??

Comment by NP October 11, 2007 @ 4:27 pmif you know that there is nothing that you can do about their decision, at least walk away with your dignity in tact.
and failing that, take advantage of being in gangland melbourne and take age up on his offer..

Comment by Rob Mortimer October 11, 2007 @ 10:37 pmThe path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother’s keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee.
Comment by Marcellus October 11, 2007 @ 11:21 pmyou could just let them carry on as they are. vengence enough.
Comment by Marcus October 12, 2007 @ 12:41 amYou know what Marcus, attacking them would only be a plaster on the problem simply because they are reacting to an issue not of their making but unbelievably stupid, arrogant and desperate.
As much as their decision is being massively, massively influenced by a degree of vegence, anger, fear and toadiness – I don’t hold them nearly as much as fault as the other party … but more on them later, both after Monday and after a couple of other things are sorted out [or I’ll see myself another ‘victim’, ha.
Hmmmmmmn, by the same token, I still think they’re utter tosspots not buying an idea that is 1/ soooo right and 2/ flying through any research test they throw at it – but hey, maybe on Monday at 2 we’ll all have become adults again.
[Yes, I realise how scary that is coming from me! Ha!]
Comment by Rob October 12, 2007 @ 7:13 amWell, were you limey or italian in the meeting? We demand to know.
