I received this from Marcus … I think he is upset about the ‘ridicule’ he received here.
Fuck him, never liked him much anyway … 🙂
Dear Mr Robert Campbell.
I hereby resign from your blog. I will not be returning. I have removed you from my RSS feeds. It’s over and done.
This was not an easy decision to take – but I feel that over the course of the last few days I have been subjected to mobbing and insults and I am frankly not willing to put up with this anymore.
I wish you and your blog colleagues all the best for the future.
Yours sincerely,
Marcus J.H. Brown.

First the king and now this… *weep*
Comment by Rob Mortimer August 16, 2007 @ 7:54 pmYou’re bored aren’t you Robert? Either that or you have to do a presentation on something you don’t really like and you’re in full pontification mode. To answer your question, Marcus has 3 children, an ex-wife and a live in lover. If anyone is gay, it’s the man who has no children, no ex-wives and hasn’t committed to a date yet.
Comment by George August 16, 2007 @ 7:59 pmgayer than freddie mercury dressed in a hot pink lycra jumpsuit dancing like a fairy in the marmite motorway club located at the bottom of choccie-botty-jockey street, pufftown. what the fuck does j h stand for, juicy homo?
Comment by andy@cynic August 16, 2007 @ 8:01 pmgeorge comes out of hibernation.
Comment by andy@cynic August 16, 2007 @ 8:02 pmOK, now I am seriously freaked out … you see I AM pontificating about an MTV preso I have to write and for the life of me, can’t get into.
I’ve been putting it off for weeks but now it has to be in by tomorrow and I just don’t know where to start.
Jesus George … you should be on the MYSTIC Channel, you look like a gypsy, ha!
Comment by Rob August 16, 2007 @ 8:05 pmAnd Marcus will be back … he’s had more ‘comebacks’ than Kiss, Tom Jones and John Farnham [one for the Aussies there] put together.
Comment by Rob August 16, 2007 @ 8:05 pmi cant stay all day writing crap fucking comments on your crap fucking blog. oh hang on, yes i can.
Comment by andy@cynic August 16, 2007 @ 8:06 pmNice to know the company is in safe hands …
Comment by Rob August 16, 2007 @ 8:15 pmRob
You’re prevaricating about the presentation, what you do on this blog is pontificating!
Comment by John Dodds August 16, 2007 @ 8:19 pmThanks John … you should work for the Samaritans, makes me feel sooooooooo much better.
Comment by Rob August 16, 2007 @ 8:23 pmI try to help you work out what you’re doing and that’s the gratitude I get. I’m contemplating resigntion too but I’d only get accused of bandwagon-jumping, so I’ll just stay here and snipe. That ok with everyone?
Comment by John Dodds August 16, 2007 @ 8:27 pmThat’s fine John … but errrrrrm, what were you doing on this blog before I insulted you?
Comment by Rob August 16, 2007 @ 8:30 pmI seem to recall naively making some insightful observations before being washed away in the prevailing undercurrent of bile, lunacy and yes prevarication!
Comment by John Dodds August 16, 2007 @ 8:34 pmIt’s a hell of a rip isn’t it John!
Comment by Rob August 16, 2007 @ 8:45 pmMTV eh?
Comment by Rob Mortimer August 16, 2007 @ 8:45 pmMaybe your blog collective can inspire you with some random bitchings and the like…
If it was that open I’d have a field day … unfortunately it’s very specific and all I’ve done is the title, THE HARE AND THE TORTOISE.
[You’d think with a title like that, I’d have an idea of what I wanted to say – you’d be wrong, ha!]
Comment by Rob August 16, 2007 @ 8:57 pmCreative justifying a random idea with a wedged in strategy eh?
Cmon Rob…activate brain!
Comment by Rob Mortimer August 16, 2007 @ 9:06 pmIn his self-imposed absence, let me remind you of Marcus’s nudity strategy – I’m sure it’s on brand – though there’s not much M in MTV these days over here.
Comment by John Dodds August 16, 2007 @ 10:57 pmTheres NO M in Mtv.
Its like ITV, its just a name. It has no actual relevance to the end product any more.
To me MTV2 is now what MTV was, and MTV is just another shallow tv brand.
Comment by Rob Mortimer August 16, 2007 @ 11:02 pmrob, perhaps the fact that you cannot get motivated for a presentation about MTV is an analogy about consumer engagement with the brand. (it’s all about pontificating, prevaricating and prefabricating)
marcus dear, go and have an afternoon nap and come back when you feel better.
