How Come …

… there is a growing trend of paying good money for stuff you have to make yourself? 

What is really bothering me is this trend of going to restaurants, paying top prices and cooking the food yourself. 

What the hell is going on?  Surely the whole point of going out for dinner is having a ‘break from the usual’???  Isn’t it???

I mean, I can understand things like IKEA … where you pay for a flat pack of cheap, but nice[ish] looking furniture [even though it takes 2000 times longer to build than it ‘claimed’ it would] …  but to pay big bucks for something you’d do at home anyway, bothers the hell out of me.

OK, so there’s no washing up to do AND you get to sit at a table instead of your wonky sofa at home, but it just doesn’t make sense. 

Saying that, neither does pockets on baby clothes so maybe I should just accept it and move on. 

Can you tell I am writing this at a point of near exhaustion?  Can you? CAN YOU?
